Agency X is a full-service marketing agency, meaning they cover all the marketing needs that a client might have. Agency X offers services within branding (such as logo design), digital (such as ads, websites, search engine optimization), content creation (photography, copywriting, video), and strategy. With 2 offices in Canada, Agency X has been able to attract a range of clients from across North America.
The Challenge
Agency X’s main client-base was based on the networks of the executives as well as referrals, which is similar to many businesses today. Agency X wanted to build out a repeatable way to fill their sales funnel, alongside their inbound marketing approaches.
Unfortunately, initially during the COVID-19 pandemic, there was no real way to network in person, and inbound marketing was slow due to marketing budgets being slashed in fear of what pandemic could mean for businesses worldwide. Agency X hired ONYX to try an outbound method of business development in order to prevent a major growth slowdown with the uncertainty of COVID-19.
Our Strategy
ONYX provided 2 BD Teams (1 Business Development Representative + 1 Researcher, per team) to secure meetings with key accounts for Agency X. In addition, Agency X’s team has collaborated with the Campaign Strategist on custom messaging and outreach strategy, with the support of an Account Manager. Agency X had their own copy team in-house, and a variety of marketing material, which was extremely helpful in outreach campaigns. Outreach began in February 2020 and ONYX has deployed 11 campaigns since outreach began in coordination with Agency X. These have been geared toward:

ONYX supported these efforts using multi-channel outbound campaigns, including email, phone, LinkedIn, and web.
The Result
Between February 2020 and April 2021, ONYX was able to book 183 meetings with prospective accounts (prospective client companies). Outreach as of April 2021 has encompassed 4596 prospective accounts, with an average of 4.6 contacts per account. This is a 4% prospective company account win (booking) rate.
